Our Partners
Our partners share our commitment to building resilient, climate-adaptive forests. Together, we work to promote healthy ecosystems, support innovative land stewardship models, and advance solutions for wildfire resilience, biodiversity, and long-term carbon storage.
Calaveras Tree Care
Murphys, CA
A locally based ISA-certified arborist service that handles project planning and hands-on tree work. As the local arborist partner, they bring certified expertise in tree assessment, hazard evaluation, and selective thinning — critical for the fuels reduction and established tree protection treatments that make up the bulk of the project's fieldwork. Their Murphys location places them at the center of the San Domingo project area.
Jay’s Tree Service
Bear Valley, CA
A tree service company already operating on-site biochar production and soil enhancement for private landowners in Alpine County. Jay's brings proven biochar field experience — they're not experimenting with the technology, they're already delivering it commercially. Within the DeepForest project, they handle tree services and biochar kiln operations, converting forest treatment slash into soil-amending biochar on-site rather than hauling it to a distant facility.
Two Crows Ecological Design
Sonoma, CA
An ecological design and restoration firm specializing in keyline plow and permaculture water catchment design and execution. Their role in the project centers on the soil and water management components — designing and implementing keyline plowing patterns that distribute biochar-amended soil across treatment areas, improving water infiltration and retention. This connects the project's biomass utilization goals (biochar) to on-the-ground soil restoration outcomes.
StartX
Palo Alto, CA
A nonprofit, founder-led technology startup accelerator that takes no equity and charges no fees. StartX provides access to a network of founders and companies across industries, helping cultivate partnerships and bring additional focus on forest risk and carbon opportunities.
San Francisco, CA
A forest mapping platform built on 3D spatial AI, providing individual tree detection (ITD) modeling and carbon reporting. Coolant.earth's technology enables the project to generate high-resolution forest inventories from aerial imagery — mapping every tree's species, size, health, and carbon content across the full project area. This underpins the project's GHG benefit quantification (the 15,934 MTCO2e estimate) and provides the spatial intelligence layer that guides where and how treatments are applied. Their AI platform transforms raw remote sensing data into actionable treatment prescriptions.
