It takes all sorts to make a movement. Whereas the movement against the Vietnam War consisted almost entirely of young adults, this movement includes a broad range of ages and attitudes.

As of 9:00 am, these were numbers of protestors being reported at indymedia.org. As the day wore on, later estimates increased these numbers by a factor of 2 or even 3.

San Jose had about 3500 marchers, for a total at the rally of about 4-5,000.

Actor Alan Rickman, who plays Prefessor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies, was in the London march on 2003-01-18.

Rallies in 603 cities rejected the call to invade Iraq.

These old veterans have seen what war is, and wouldn't inflict that on others.
